My dear friends,
Many of you have asked me over the past eight months to consider running for Alderman at Large, in order to help rebuild and re-energize this great city of Aurora .
We need to promote and build an environment favorable to the creation of new jobs. We must look at our city's budget and cut the fat and waste from it so we can have lower taxes.
We must support and improve our police department’s ability to electronically monitor convicted sex offenders. Keeping our children safe from these predators has always been a priority for me.
I know one man can not do this alone. But, one man must start the journey so that all of us can re-take our city and bring back its pride.
So let me say here and now, I am in to win it...... I know that you, my friends and neighbors will help carry the message to "BACK MATT in 2011" for Aurora 's Alderman at Large.

ReplyDeleteIn this day of You Tube, I.M. and cell phone. We seem to forget that we all have the power to inform and to be informed.
We should always ask our elected leaders why. And when they try to silence the one voice of reason we should always ask the power that tries to stop why ?
For it is our duty to question our leaders.
As well as our elected leaders to ask why when we have not gotten the full information.
And it's up to all of us to search for the truth and display our courage when we are threaten with undo force.
In this case our Mayor was acting as a child, in trying to stop our elected Alderman from asking the question.
Why did this happen and what our we going to do to make this right for our community the people have right to know.
For we are people that want to make this city a better place, not just for a day a month or a year.
But for always. And that way starts today by asking Why.....
